PRICKLY PEAR PASSION SMOOTHIE
This is the most beautiful color and it tastes just as great!
Ingredients:
8 small ripe prickly pears (purple) or 4 large 1½ cup water 3 ripe bananas 1 teaspoon raw agave nectar
Preparation:
Holding them with tongs, cut the ends off the prickly pears and slightly cut them lengthwise, not all the way through. Filet them like a fish and put the flesh in the blender. Add the water and blend. Pour the contents through a strainer into a bowl. Mash and swish the contents remaining in the strainer until you extract all the juice. Add this back into the blender with 3 bananas and sweetener of choice, I used agave nectar. Blend and enjoy!
BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE
You can use your blender, food processor, Magic Bullet or Ninja to make
a smoothie.
Start with a base which can be unsweetened almond milk, coconut water, soy milk,
rice milk or water approximately 3/4 to 1 cup
Berries (fresh or frozen) 1/2 cup
Other fruit (get creative) cut up mango is delicious-- 1/2 cup
Hempseed 1 tbsp or chia seed 1 tbsp
Nut butters 1 to 2 tbsps. (Sunflower seed butter, almond butter, or natural peanut
butter or blend to equal 3 tbsp so you can get in your protein)
(**Note--I also add Metagreens 1 tbsp--equal to 5 salads and Xtra 1 oz. which
gives you the antioxidant power of 10 servings of fruits and veggies--a great way to
start the day for extra energy --available at www.univera.com/1158468 )

LEMONADE (juicing using only natural sugars) Juicing removes all the pulp leaving only the juice of both fruit.
By far the best lemonade I've ever had--simple using only fruit.
Two yellow delicious apples
One inch slice of lemon
Be sure to wash fruit and place in your juicer.
Pour over ice for an amazingly refreshing drink.
